Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager this parental leave contract will provide end to end accounts payable process management for MSF Australia and MSF New Zealand. 

With a focus on the timely completion of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, invoicing and expense reporting this collaborative role will support the finance team and liaise with suppliers to ensure financial compliance and best practice.  Accountabilities will include:

  • Manage end to end accounts payable processes on a timely basis including entering all invoices for AU and NZ
  • Preparation of the Business Activity Statements and related supporting reports
  • Management of foreign exchange and international transactions
  • Weekley bank reconciliation and monitoring of bank accounts
  • Assist with audits
  • Management of Donations-in-Kind Register and donations reviews
  • Systems and vendor relationship management
  • Month end reconciliations of credit cards
  • Reporting and compliance

Requirements 

To be successful in this accountable and autonomous position, you will be known for your understanding of finance systems and natural ability to engage with others.  Ideally you will have a high attention to detail, and will be motivated by working in the humanitarian aid sector.  Ideally you can demonstrate the following: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance and previous accounts payable experience;
  • Capable time management skills and well developed problem solving ability;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; and
  • Confident MS Office experience, NetSuite well regarded.
