Responsibilities of your role

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager – Gift in Wills and Community Fundraising, this newly designed role is accountable for driving revenue from existing and prospective donors through the creation and implementation of Community Fundraising initiatives and events across Australia and New Zealand.

You will play a central role in:   

  • Supporting the development and delivery of a Community Fundraising Strategy
  • Relationship management of peer-to-peer fundraisers, community partners and third-party fundraising platforms
  • Ensure community fundraising activations are safe, ethical and aligned with best practice
  • Budget and forecast management; and reporting.

This visible role will promote MSF with external partners and collaborate internally with the broader Fundraising team and Engagement department including Digital and Communications.

 

What you will bring

To be successful in this key role, you will enjoy delivering complex projects to deadline and be known for your ability to build strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders at one time.  You will thrive in a global humanitarian aid organisation and ideally can demonstrate: 

  • Strong fundraising experience, community fundraising program management highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience – particularly in donor retention.
  • Knowledge of broad fundraising principles and industry best practices.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including experience with project management.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and compassionately.
