Responsibilities  

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager (Comms & Brand) this fast-paced role will support the design and implementation of the organic social media strategy for MSF Australia and New Zealand, focusing on creating, moderating, and disseminating engaging content across all social media channels. 

With the accountability for maintaining MSF’s voice across social media, as the first point of moderation you will provide responses to supporter questions and comments ensuring compliance with guidelines, privacy and usage regulations, editorial standards and ethical best practices. You will be responsible for maintaining an engaging social media calendar covering priorities across the organisation, as well as assisting with content creation for paid awareness campaigns. Budget management, reporting and hitting targets are key metrics of the role.  

As a part of the highly accountable and progressive Digital team your work will contribute to elevating MSF’s online presence, increasing engagement and driving impactful fundraising, awareness and recruitment campaigns across Australia and New Zealand.    

 

Requirements  

To be successful in this visible position, you will be known for delivering swiftly to deadline, being agile, and having a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the trends in a constantly-changing social media landscape. Ideally you will be motivated by working in a humanitarian aid organisation and can demonstrate the following:   

  • Qualifications in Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media, or relevant professional experience in creative content production (experience working on fundraising campaigns or non-profit work will be highly regarded). 
  • Experience developing, implementing and managing social media content across Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and X; with experience on TikTok also a benefit. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing social media campaigns, including audience research and targeting. 
  • Ability to read and interpret social media metrics to optimise performance and provide insights-based reports. 
  • Experience using social media scheduling and listening tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Talkwaker, or other social media dissemination platform). 
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.   
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
