Responsibilities  

This highly visible, newly designed, and pivotal role will develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that drives digital transformation and embeds advanced cybersecurity practices at every level of operations and global footprint for MSF Australia and New Zealand. 

As the critical driver for innovation and risk management, you will ensure that all technology systems and processes are secure, efficient and aligned with our organisations goals.  

Reporting to the Executive Director this influential position will oversee the ICT Manager and Head of Data, supporting them to realise optimal data security and analysis within a supportive and secure technology environment.   As a key member of the MSFA Executive Leadership team, you will work collaboratively with senior leaders across the organisation.   

Ultimately, your work will result in more funding to support MSF projects, a superior experience for our donors, and improved care for the people to whom we provide medical aid. 

 

What you will bring 

To be successful in this impactful role, you be capable of balancing innovation with security, have a flair for navigating rapid technological change and enjoy cultivating a high performing agile team. Ideally you will be motivated by working in a humanitarian aid organisation and can demonstrate:  

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. 
  • Advanced qualifications or industry certifications in IT management and cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable. 
  • Extensive experience in senior IT leadership roles, with a proven track record in strategic planning, digital transformation, and cybersecurity management. 
  • Experience in global or not-for-profit environments is an asset. 
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, systems integration, and advanced cybersecurity practices. 
  • Up-to-date understanding of emerging cyber threats and regulatory requirements. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets and optimising technology investments.
